Do you know why the engineered quartz stone countertop is so popular now
November 10,2017
Quartz is one of the most substantial elements that make up the Earth’s crust. More common than limestone, sandstone, granite or marble, it is literally everywhere.

Engineered quartz slabs that is used for kitchen worktops or floors or bathrooms is actually partially man-made. It is usually made up of over 90% natural quartz with the addition of 7%-10% polyester resin, which helps to give a truly lasting and resilient finish. One of the most appealing features of quartz stone - particularly when it is used in worktops - is the random arrangement of tiny reflective specks in its surface, which give a delightful sparkling appearance. This effect really adds depth and impact to what would otherwise be a plain, flat surface.

But more than this, engineered quartz stone is an extremely practical option. There are only three substances on the planet which are harder than quartz - diamond, topaz and sapphire. This guarantees that your quartz worktop has a phenomenally strong resistance to scratching or chipping. Also, because it is a non-porous stone, it is impervious to the ravages of spilt coffee, milk, wine, fruit juice, vinegar - pretty much anything you can throw at it. This means it’s great for kitchen floors too.
