Some clients usually ask what is the difference between artificial quartz stone and artificial marble stone. To be first, the artificial quartz stone is manufactured one slab by one slab, with mainly quartz sand and resin, as well as some color pigments, while artificial marble stone is made one block by one block, with mainly waste stone materials, resin and color pigments. So we still need to cut artificial marble blocks into big slabs like natural stone. Secondly, because of raw materials and manufacturing methods, artificial quartz slab is much harder than artificial marble. Therefore, quartz slab is better in scratch resistance, which is good for kitchen countertop. Regarding usages, artificial marble stone is usually cut into tiles for interior floor and wall coverings, as well as windows sills. And artificial quartz slabs are fabricated into kitchen worktop and other bench tops, because of its hardness and stain resistance. Anyway, no matter artificial marble or quartz, they are available in flexible size and thickness and customized colors to match various needs.
